Read a screenshot, verify the decoded text and regenerate a clean PNG or SVG. Check quiet zones, blur, logos and Wi-Fi sharing before publishing.

Read an image and regenerate its exact text
Open the QR reader and drop, choose or paste PNG, JPG or WebP images. Limits are 10 MiB per image, 20 images and 50 MiB per batch. Review the full decoded text, then choose Regenerate QR to carry it into the generator. Decoded links never open automatically.
Verify content before making a new code
For URLs, check the scheme, complete hostname and path. Lookalike names can point elsewhere. Successful decoding is not a safety check. Regenerated content stays in page memory rather than being placed in the page URL, including Wi-Fi passwords.
Why does a printed QR code fail?
Blur, reflections, low contrast, busy backgrounds, tiny modules and obstructing logos can reduce readability. DENSO WAVE specifies a clear quiet zone at least four modules wide on every side of a standard QR code. A module is the smallest square, not a fixed four pixels. Start with no logo, dark modules on a light background and intact margins. Scan a proof at the actual print size on the intended device.
Choose PNG, SVG or a screenshot
PNG is convenient for sharing. SVG can suit scalable artwork and printing, but verify the final exported layout and printed result. Avoid repeated screenshot compression and non-square stretching. Read the original text from a clear source image, regenerate a fresh code and test it again.
A static QR code cannot be changed remotely
This tool writes content directly into a static code. Editing the input after downloading does not change an image already shared. Regenerate and replace the image to change the content. The pattern has no server-set expiry, but the destination page, connection or service can stop working.
Wi-Fi and contact details are part of the image
Anyone who receives the code may decode its content. Share Wi-Fi credentials and contact information with the care you would use for a password or address book. Generation and reading happen in the browser without uploading source text or images. Page and decoder resources still need downloading, and manually opening a decoded link connects to that destination.
